This May, people from every part of Ireland will come together in Dublin for the annual March for Life. It is a hopeful, peaceful, and welcoming public gathering that brings families, friends, and communities together to stand up for mothers, babies, and the right to life.
The March for Life is a positive day out in the city, with a strong sense of purpose and shared care. It is a chance to be visible, to be counted, and to show that many people still want a more supportive and compassionate response to pregnancy in Ireland.
The march is peaceful and family friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages. You are welcome to come on your own, with friends, with your family, or as part of a group.
The March for Life has grown into much more than a date in the calendar. Each year it brings people together, strengthens volunteers, and keeps the issue of life firmly in the public eye.
In recent years, abortion numbers in Ireland have risen sharply. In 2024 alone, over 10,800 abortions took place. These figures matter, and they deserve a serious response that focuses on real support for women and families, not just abortion as the default option.
We march to call for life affirming alternatives, practical help for women in crisis, and policies that protect both mother and child.
This is a day marked by encouragement, solidarity, and shared purpose. Many people return year after year because of the sense of hope and unity it brings.
By showing up, you help send a clear and peaceful message that many people in Ireland want better care, better choices, and better outcomes for women and their babies.
Change does not happen on its own. It happens when ordinary people take part, speak up, and remain visible.
Make plans to be in Dublin this Bank Holiday Monday. Share the date with others and invite them to come along. Every person there adds to the strength of the message.
More practical information and updates will be shared here closer to the day.
March for Life Dublin
Monday, 4th May 2026
Starting at 2pm
Ken O’Flynn TD
As a TD for Cork North Central and member of Independent Ireland, Deputy O’Flynn has, since entering the Dáil in 2024, distinguished himself as a determined advocate for unborn babies and their mothers. He has submitted a wide range of very important Parliamentary Questions on abortion and spoken out forcefully in the Dáil, challenging the Government to address concerns to do with Ireland’s soaring abortion numbers.
Caroline Simons
As a leading spokesperson for the Pro Life Campaign in TV and radio debates for over 20 years, and as a legal consultant to the organisation, Caroline has played a central role in promoting the pro-life message in Ireland and in seeking to curb the impact of recent changes to the law.
Councillor Ellen Troy
Councillor Troy of Aontú, who serves on Fingal County Council, has built a strong reputation as a committed community activist, supporting a wide range of initiatives across the greater Dublin 15 area. A consistent and fearless voice on pro-life issues, she also champions supports for women facing an unplanned pregnancy. After narrowly missing out on a Dáil seat in the most recent general election, she is very well positioned to make the breakthrough next time around!
Emmet Dooley
As SPUC (Scotland) Director of Education and Outreach, Emmet is making a remarkable impact in engaging young people on the pro-life issue. Over the past year, among other things, Emmet – who hails from Ireland – delivered 168 presentations to schools across the UK.
